The Government Digital Service (GDS) has signed to use a fraud risk and case management software to support the One Login service.
It has agreed on a contract with Synectics Solutions to use its SIRA solution to detect and combat fraudulent activity.
The contract award notice indicates that the agreement came into effect in early November to run for three years and is valued at £8.65 million.
It indicates that SIRA – a syndicated database of risk intelligence used by financial institutions and insurance companies – will be used as part of an integrated fraud risk engine, case management and document sharing tool, along with other off-the-shelf products from the company, Precision for predictive analytics and Orion network visualisation.
Workflow, algorithms and rules
The supplier has indicated that SIRA includes workflow management, machine learning algorithms and a configurable rules based decision engine, and can provide benefits including the detection of fraud and error, a reduction in false positives and a streamlining of processes
One Login is being developed as a single, reusable form of identity verification for central government services. In recent months GDS has signed a number of contracts to support its operation, including with Deloitte as delivery partner and HGS for contact centre support.
