The National Employment Savings Trust (Nest) has extended its contract with design agency Nexer Digital to support its service modernisation.

The two-year extension is worth up to £1.3 million and aimed at delivering a user centred, ‘digital first’ pension service and enhancing Nest’s service design capability.

The auto-enrolment pensions provider, which is backed by the Government and is the UK’s largest workplace pension scheme, has worked with Nexer Digital’s teams, service users and scheme administrator for the past three years.

It has included the delivery of a training and mentoring programme to equip the Nest team with the expertise in user centred design principles to continue developing solutions in-house. Efforts to build the internal capability will continue under the contract extension.

Shaun Gomm, commercial director at Nexer Digital, commented: “This partnership has the potential to significantly enhance the service for millions of users, making it more user centred and accessible.”
